My New 128i Cab - The First 24 hours . . .

I hope this doesn't become routine with this car otherwise it's going to be a looonng summer.
Bad news:
3 Infractions:
-Improper Turn at Intersection (say what?)
-Change Lane without Signal (I put my blinker on late - no cars around = except him)
-Failure to Produce Driver's License (BMW finance called me as they forgot to get a copy of my DL so I scanned a copy in and forgot my DL in my scanner - 4 blocks away)

Good news ???:
Cop said, pick 1 infraction and he'll let the others go with a warning - nice huh (sarcasm).
Hmmm, well duh - which is the cheapest Mr. Policeman - he wasn't sure but guessed that it was Failure to produce $81.
Issued the ticket and took 15 minutes to write up the 'warnings'...
He knew I had a driver's license but I guess he felt the need to justify his time.
FYI, he liked the car

My daughter was in the passenger seat and the cop was taking forever to write the ticket(s) - so I told her to take a shot with my iPhone.

Can you go before a judge and get the failure to produce dropped? At least up here in the Great White North I've heard of people explaining why they were unable to produce it. If you have a good reason (your license was left behind when you picked up the car) maybe there will be leniency?

Yes, I guess I could but I'm not sure (in Canada) if the 'warning' tickets are recorded. If the judge asks, why was I stopped or knows that I was given a warning, it may be more difficult to argue. But, it's not a bad idea. In the UK, you don't even have to carry a DL, if you get stopped you're given a day or two to produce.

Sounds like a "no contest" to me.

Haha, it was awesome to see that picture right after reading the title of the thread. Sorry to hear about the ticket, you should probably just pay it and be happy he didn't nail you on all three. Most of the time people don't win their contests and end up paying more.

Yeah, I tend to agree with you Supraking.
I've not had luck challenging tickets in the past.
Do I win Best Pix
