This is just a normal 135i with wider fenders, m3 side mirrors, m3 rims, m3 differential, and m3 brakes.

Yet, they call it a "///M Pure."
Pure because it has some left over parts from an M car, or "pure" because it has a relatively low redline, forced induction, and the same engine as a non-m.
Well, glad to hear you don't like it. One less person to drive up the price.

I'd say that M3 brakes, diff, suspension, tires/rims along with a widebody and iS engine in a lighter 135 is a pretty good performance car.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

my 2 cents...
the car will be of 3 colors as previously outlined.
there will be little changes made to the interior compared to the current 135's
the engine is NOT the same as the Z4is... it will be the basis of the next gen M3. And there will be no power bulge guys...
Production to start March 2011; ends Dec 2011. I heard 2500 units...(not 2700?). Mine's on reserve.

Bootlid spoiler/ ducktail (as some of you call it) looks beautiful. I love it.

RE: the power dome. If you're straining your eyes that hard to find it... its because it doesn't exist.

Haha you beat me to it. I was gonna tell him to go troll somewhere else...like 4chan.org and leave the adults to discuss greater matters!

Back on topic: I like it the more I see it. Ducktail, hood bulge and LCI FTW!

At first glance, I thought the same thing, but look at a 135 from a similar angle and it looks like the duckbill aspect is more accentuated on the 1M.

And I've looked at the pics over and over and still can't see a hood bulge. I think it just looks like reflections playing optical tricks.

Is December here yet?

Hmmm, take a look at picture #2 in the link below, and see the same thing. It is a 135i trunk, with the standard spec lip spoiler.

Yeah, I don't know. It's tough to say. It may be slightly more accentuated on the 1M, or it could just be wishful thinking. Like I said, is it December yet?

The hood is definitely different. Look at the angle of the roundel. One is laying more flat than the other for sure. The overall hood shape toward the front of the car is different, probably for the different airbox to accommodate better intake sound.
