Absolutely none. The rims themselves are 1series-specific offsets, and the tires were the lowest profile I can run. I wouldn't say the car is slammed, but it's almost as low as the H&R coilovers will allow it to go.

Per CA DMV website:

Recent legislation changed the requirements for vehicle transfers occurring on or after January 1, 2005. When you transfer a vehicle that is four or less model years old a smog certification will not be required. The four or less model years old rule does not apply to diesel powered vehicles.

Bud...law has changed this year in cali. Smog is every 2 years now. Reason why I know is I just bought a used 2009 (2009 nov delivery) and I had to smog it. I thought the 4 year thing too but dmv told me it changed as of 2013.

I think you may be confused. The information I posted was regarding the seller's responsibility to smog a car prior to selling ("transferring") it to another buyer in CA; it suggest the car must be more than 4 model years old in order for the pre-sale smog inspection to be required. The information does not relate to the new biennial smog check required for any car owner here in CA.

You mentioned you just bought a 2009 and you had to smog it yourself. If the car was a 2008 or older (5 years or older), then it would have been the seller's responsibility to pass the smog prior to selling it to you.
