What percent tints should I go with?
Hey everyone. I'm between getting 15% and 20% all around on my car with 70% on the windshield. What do you guys think looks best with my ride?

What's legal in NJ? For me, unless you're in AZ, FL or places where the sun is out most of the time, too dark makes the cabin claustrophobic. Also, applying 15% over existing glass may be darker since modern glass may have tint in the glass already.

I have 30% All around besides the windshield and I love it. Have had no problems with cops in NY/NJ.

while not the most popular choice, I have a very subtle 50% all the way around, it actually makes huge difference, I love it....If you are intent on going darker Id stay at 35, 15/20% takes away from the car but thats just my opinion.

I actually have 35% tint all around (except windshield of course) and I actually wish I went with something darker, maybe 20%. One thing that makes a big difference is whether you have a light interior or a dark one. On my friends car with black leather seats, 35% looks fine. But for with the Oyster coloured leather on my car, it reflects a lot more light and makes the inside brighter so the 35% on my car looks a lot lighter.

You can have it taken off and re-done. I think I would if I wasn't happy with it.

I'd skip the windshield you're just looking for trouble with that in NJ, speaking from experience.... I had 70% front, 35 sides, and 20 rear on my last car and I was questioned about it a few times in NJ and finally got a ticket for the front tint, they let me keep the rest.
On the new car I'm planning to do an eyebrow on the front (i think 5 inches down is legal, there's a line on your windshield) and 35% sides 20% rears.

I always go 30 on my cars, but it's up to you. Though, I think 15 is just too dark.
