How much of the coolers were fed directly with air? The ducts on both sides have pretty small openings to the stock oil cooler/stock additional radiator.

You removed the stock additional radiator on the passenger side beforehand, right?

These came of a 135 and all the ducts where removed and the oil coolers sit directly in front of the bumper hole, they where getting full flow of fresh air

Yeah, I guessed from the history of this thread, just wanted to check.

I can't give JD75 enough praise - he's supplied most of the aftermarket parts on my car, and soon a lot more.

I'm just lurking for a bargain

I assume these require the removal of the factory brake ducts? if not ignore my comments below.

Just FYI for anyone looking at these it's been reported that removing the factory brake ducts is detrimental to braking performance (one guy even siezing a caliper on track apparently).

so if you remove the factory ducts make sure you put in another source of fresh air for those brakes

the holes are still there for the air to exit where originally the ducts where, so the brakes are still getting air flow. But hold on my 1m or my m3 hasn't got any, oh no my calipers
are going to seize LOL

Titium the only way a caliper would seize is from poor maintenance and not from heat

135 ceramic piston inserts degrade+crumble from excess heat. nothing to do with maintenance, unless you count stainless/alloy piston upgrade to be maintenance.

the ducts on the 135 don't do jack for cooling, they are just to small from factory.

Your better off running better wheels with better ventilation and you will see far more significant gains from that, then again anyone tracking these cars wouldn't run the factory brakes to begin with as they are just to small apart from the occasional light track day, drags or 1km events.

The only way these would seize is from poor maintenance, because if your constantly tracking your car the calipers should be pulled down, cleaned, greased and checked and brake fluid flushed after every race.

How many people you know do that ?
