Any updates? I have money set aside for a full set, and ready to put these on the car ahead of time for the 2014 season...

ETA is February. I'm with you though, need to get the 2014 setup finalized!

Also, VERY curious as to pricing. Right now, I can get Carbotech XP10 front and rear, shipped to my door for $465.

How is the noise with these pads?

Noticed them at Forged Performance, but they are listed for 2008-2010 135i application only ...

Left these guys a note to see if my 2011 135i calipers are supported ...

Might try the XP8, XP10, or DTC-60 if the PFC's 08 pads are not ready for the Feb-March 2014 timeframe ...

Correct. Actually, Carbotech initially states that their offerings are only for 2008-2009, but it's all the same, they have just have not updated their catalog to reflect this.

Excellent. Thanks guys. Dont want to spoil this thread but how do the carbotech XP8 & XP10 pads compare to the Hawk DTC-60 or DTC-70 pads?

If you trust my massive amount of Google searching before I ended choosing the Carbotechs, the two are directly comparable in terms of heat tolerance, cost is basically the same, but it seems that the CTechs are easier to modulate than the Hawks. Again, that is if you trust the reviews of other racers online.

My first track day for the 2014 calendar is in February, so I'll have an update with the XP-10's then.

PFC pads are great, used them for a while on my e36 M3 track car.

(sorry this is a mostly useless post, it's my first-post-after-registration post so that I can make a thread... )

I have no real updates to give but hopefully Ill know more later this month. I ran Carbotech XP10s at the end of 2012 and half of the 2013 season (11 days / 64 sessions / ~21hr 30min according to my consumables log ) So Im pretty familiar with their characteristics. The pad material is more compressible than on semi-metallic race pads like the DTC 60-70 so the pedal feels a ever so slightly softer when the pads are hot, but this is also one of the biggest reasons they are so damn easy to modulate. I did a few sessions in the rain with them on Bridgestone RE-11 and they were still super easy to control, even trailing into a corner. I liked them but was always looking to see what else is out there.

One of my friends recently tried the PFC 08 on his S2000 and said the characteristics felt similar to an XP10 but with perhaps a bit better feel. Which is amazing because it is an endurance compound that should last about twice as long as an XP10.

I know for a fact speed freaks can beat that price... I believe they are the largest distributor of Carbotech in the western half of the US

Edit: It's the same exact price, to the dollar.

How is the fit of the Carbotech XP-10 pads inside the 135 front+rear calipers? Do the pads have a proper notch to hold the sensors, or do we have to say goodby to the sensors and tie them up somewhere safe?

Don't recall but I wouldn't sweat it. The only value the sensor has is so you can prove to dealers they ought to replace your pads/rotors. If you're keeping the Carbotechs in there all the time, dealers won't change rotors/pads. If you do swap out back to oe pads after each event, just reclip the sensor then. Presumably before every track day you'll visually inspect pads. On my other car, I just ziptied them.

So you feel comfortable running the Cabotechs on the street as well?

Comfortable they'll perform? I know they won't perform as they should but I've driven track pads on street before without issue. I'm too lazy to switch em out every 2 weeks during the summer. But if I'm being asked for the record, no I don't recommend it.
