I Cant make decision yet!! please help.
Hi. I m finally planning to purchase my first bimmer for 135i.
the car is still in Germany so I have to wait for about 4~5weeks. I did not order, it was just ordered car from another state but dealer says we can get em. anyways, before make 100% decision for 135i, I have part which im curious about bmw, also 1series and 3seires. basically, what is real difference between those two cars (135 vs 335) why is there so much price difference between those two? and.. please let me know your opinion about 135i either bad and good, both parts! Im so excited to get 135i and cant really wait thank you guys! |

The 3 series is higher up the chain in terms of brand position, especially the 335 line. The 135 gives you a lot of the engine and driver fun in a smaller and lighter car. Spec a 135 at $40k gives you what a 335 might at $50k. I was comparing a 128 to a 328, I went with the 1 because I have no kids, all my friends drive and I simply didn't need the room- plus the 3 is so damn commonplace I like a little uniqueness here and there

you would have to drive em back to back. However, the 135 "feels" much more nimble and I happen to prefere the look and size of the car.
The 335 is a bit more luxurious and has a better ride. 335 comparably equipped is more $$...probably 5-10k whne you put the sport package stuff on the 335. If this is not a stick shift car, I think the 335 would be steptronic vs. DCT on 135 unless you move up to the 3351s which is alot more |

I personally think that the 3-series has one of the ugliest dashboard of the entire car industry, except maybe for any Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dashboards, does not feel sporty at all IMHO. So that alone made me choose the 1 over the 3.
The 1-series feels like a sport car when you sit in it, everything converges more around you and yes : you don't see them everywhere like 3 series!

The 1 series offers and more involving and fun driving experience plus as someone already noted the dash looks way better.

Strange thread. The 335i has a bigger trunk, roomy back seat, optional rear doors, and a little more interior storage. The 135i has a shorter wheelbase, not very useful rear seat, and lighter weight.

335i also has slightly better dash materials while the 135i has a lot of plastic. The 335i has a more stable planted feeling when you drive fast or take corners though most agree that it's just a feeling. The smaller wheelbase and slightly less weight makes the 135i a lot more fun to drive. Those are the main differences I notice having owned both cars at the same time.

Never liked the dash of the former 7-series, 5-series and the E90, the 1-series (older in Europe than all 3 mentioned) had a dash more in line with former 3 series (flowing nicer around driver) I am happy that the most recent BMW are more in line with what they used to be. I am still impressed nowadays to look at the interior of old 5 and 7 from the eighties, it aged pretty well... It is only my opinion, not the truth
