Will the I-carly app do this? thanks

Some BMW tech is married to your car at this point! I would show up to the dealer and give them a chance to right their mistakes, also note that you will be involving lawyers if needed. That should open their ears. Have them send you home in a new 5 series loaner to bring in the new year

I am almost to this point already. I wrote BMW and this was their response. I am not really after a loaner but getting my car back. She does not get my point.

"Dear Mr. Sevilla:

Thank you for writing to BMW of North America, LLC regarding your 2008 BMW 135i Cou. I was sorry to read of your concerns.

I can certainly imagine your disappointment in not being able to obtain a loner vehicle at Prestige Automobiles of Guam. The loaner fleet at each BMW center is administered by the center’s management team. We suggest speaking with the service manager should you wish to review their loaner vehicle program and also schedule to have the recall repair performed.

Your comments are valuable, as they provide an opportunity to improve the level of service our BMW customers expect and deserve. Please be assured they will be shared with our management team.

The BMW Customer Relations and Services Department is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., ET. You can reach us at 1-800-831-1117.

Thank you again for taking the time to write to us.

Sincerely,

I'd be having an aneurysm if the dealer had my car for 3+ months. I would be in the dealer every day until I got my car back, and after 3+ months I'd expect the work to be free of charge.

You should send them a bill for your time spent trying to get the car back. Haha

all this trouble for some vacuum leaks. 90% these codes relate to unmetered air in the system, we see these all the time and 90% of the time its a vacuum leak. Also it makes sense when you say it gets worse as it gets warmer its because everything is expanding. Good luck.

So... they aren't even working on your car! It's probably sitting out in their back lot!

You need to go talk to the dealer's general manager. Tell him what YOU want to happen. IF you want a new Subbie - fine. IF you want your car fixed, fine.

As I read between your lines(posts)... nothing much has been done to your car... and you are on the service "team's" back burner. You need to apply some "pressure" to them.

IF you went into the dealer with a lawyer or even a witness, that would be a good first step in getting your car fixed/repair/traded.

Did you ever send them(the dealer & BMW HQ) a registered letter? I hope you have a good documented paper trail for this fiasco!

This is ridiculous Guam... I get that you have other means of transportation but man, I would demand a loaner and take it for some punishing drives.. Heck, I might even do a track day in their loaner .

Seriously though, this is beyond unacceptable. Reading though this thread, I'm getting upset about their lack of accountability.
Go to the service department's manager, if he's not helping you, ask for his boss and his boss and his boss...

No Guam, you need to either get a lawyer, or threaten to take legal action if you don't get the car back FIXED. They don't owe you anything; they're fixing the car because THEY have given you a faulty product in the first place that they now need to fix because their lawyers told them to do so. I'm not a short-tempered individual AT ALL, but I can tell you that I would not be a happy camper if I were you.

Do they all drive BMWs? Seriously you should call and ask to speak to the GM or Owner. Ask them if they'd be happy with the service you have received from their business?

Okay thanks and let me point out why I am posting this information. It is not to ask for sympathy. I write this information because all this started as a misfire and I tried to fix it without taking it to the dealer on Guam which unfortunately we only have one. I later found out that my misfire was related to a recall. So just to inform the people about the misfire I posted how long my car is taking to fix the misfire/recall.

Now on talking to the dealer I personally know the owner but he is no use talking too because I did this once when I had warranty on my 128i conv. being done. I complained about the service advisor etc. and guess what from that point forward it was so hard to get anything done with my BMW's. Unfortunately there are still service work that only the dealer has the equipment to do. For the indies that work on BMW's there is only one I would trust out of 2 and they do not have all the equipment that this cars require. Guam is a small place 150,000 + people. Because the owner of the dealership did not do anything about my complain before I felt that they are indifferent to me know. So if anybody out there is planning to be on Guam and bring their BMW plan ahead an know what you will have to deal with.

On the other side if I have an attorney who would take this issue I would but everybody knows everybody on Guam and they would not take such a case.

So there you have it so before you cuss me out and call me all kinds of names when you do not know all the facts. Just tell me I am trolling this thread and keep my posts out. Thats all that you needed to say. I want to cuss to but this is not the proper venue.

We have had service issues with this dealer since we had our Land Rover years ago ..... too bad I like European cars and have only one dealer to deal with even if I buy the car elsewhere

Maybe it would better to just have your car towed out of there, and shipped to the next nearest BMW dealer(what ever country that would be).

This thread is sad, but I commend you for posting your story and keeping us updated.

Its really sad to hear that Prestige still sux balls. When I was in Guam last time from 2010-2013, they had my car for almost 6 months for a "burning oil problem". I had to PCS so I pulled the car out of there to ship it out to the states. Once it got to Dallas I had to apply for a "Goodwill repair". Once checked into the shop in Dallas I got the car back within 10 days. and guess what... it was fixed!! They replaced both turbos, oil lines, DME, 6 injectors, 6 plugs, HPFP, valve cover, and some other stuff. Prestige only tried to localize the problem by replacing 1 turbo and valve cover. Talk about a half ass job! They cut corner to save money, like it comes out of their pocket or something. Also, I drove by a number of time and see my car parked in the back on being touched. I would call and they would tell me they were working on it until I called them out on it. then they would say, oh well we are waiting on parts. You are better off fixing the car on your own man or taking it to another shop.

Sad to say but true, still there. This will be my last modern BMW I'll keep my 95' M3 not as quick but at least I can work on it without some fancy diagnostic equipment
