Attaching number plates

Hi Guys,

Just moved to QLD from NSW and am switching my plates around. Is there a better way of attaching the rear plate besides drilling two holes through the centre of the plate? I have done the obligatory trips top Repco and SuperCheap and not really found anything . . . surely there's a bracket out there somewhere? All I could find is http://www.lakinplates.com.au/index.php?main_page=index - almost $250 bucks for front and rear + protectors . . . . jee bus!

How do you guys do it?

If you don't mind the Dealer name on it the ones I got from Brisbane BMW with my car are actually the best I've been able to find. They're a 2 piece - back but attaches to car, slap number plate in, secure front bit over top.

Damnit, I went to a dealership in Sydney and they just drilled holes in the plates. I thought that the holder would avoid this but they said otherwise...

Pretty sure NSW plates will be different sized...

I have the 'black euro' style plate and yeh I just drilled two holes in the plate, pretty simple.

Automotive double sided tape will keep them on as well.

The Lankin ones are really good. I got one in front of the car because my dealer drilled 4 holes for VIC slimline plate and I have a shorter personalized plates. I'm even thinking getting the rear one also.

It comes with everything Inc the cover also.

I did find the Lankin ones being sold via EBay for almost half the price sold on their own website. I talked to Philip (from Lankin) and he was going to do both front and back with the covers for about $145 + shipping if anyones interested . . . here's the link.

I had Trivett Classic advertising on my plate covers, they were great apart from this... a bit of turps did the trick!
