Squeaking Noise on 08' 135 cab, weird!!

Hi all, I did a search for this on this forum but could not seam to find anything with my particular issue. When the top is up, there is a loud squeak/rattle noise coming for behind the back seats. The noise is constant but worsens when the car goes over a bump etc....When the top is down, there is no noise what so ever.... Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Actually there are a ton of notes on this somewhere... it's most likely the hinge on the armrest. Pay attention next time and see if that's where it's coming from. Generally taking elbow off the rest stops it. Only fixes are to put felt under the armrest where it touches the transmission tunnel cover and lube the hinge. Sorry.

I had this same exact problem and it seemed to take forever to figure it out...not sure about your situation but mine was a simple adjustment of the rubber stops on the hard tonneau.

Open the tonneau and you will find two adjustable rubber stops ( one on each side) that screw in and out . These stops mate up to metal pads when the tonneau is closed. Look carefully and you will find these. If these are not adjusted properly the squeaking or rattling you hear is the locking mechanism not pulled snug because of the stops. This is trial and error but adjust these until your squeak is gone.

gary442... Thank you for this... I will try this tonight as this is exactly where the noise seams to be steming from! I hope this is it. I will keep you posted as to the progress. Thanks again
