Non iDrive Hole

Has anybody done anything creative with the hole where the iDrive knob goes? I have done a great deal of searching and found nothing. Aftermarked cupholder? It is the only thing I am not liking about my car. I am wondering if an aftermarked trim piece could be made sans the hole?

My iPod lives in there. I have it tilted so it faces me.

One after my own heart. Already had a few skyline accidents...all over the front passenger seat. What a mess.

You could try putting your heroin in there since it is obvious you are on drugs for not getting the nav system.

But seriously. I wonder if one was to add an amp and sub, could that space be used to house the wired remote amp power control?

Are you guys talking about the area between the shifter and the center storage bin? If so, I use it for my cell phone and bluetooth earpiece. I also put other misc pocket junk there sometimes. It is an invaluable to have a place to put that kind of thing and not have to worry about it sliding around.
