DEPO Halogens Installed
I spent the afternoon installing the Depo halogen angel eyes on my 128i
The bumper removal was about as irritating as the DIY guides said it would be but with proper tools, it wasn't totally unfathomable. I opted not to add the xenon kit, just straight halogen which I prefer. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways. Adjustment post installation took almost as long as the installation itself. I think I finally got them dialed in correctly. Some pre-Depo shots: BMWP intake installed recently: |

These are the V2s so there should be less of an issue. I looked over the housing and there were no obvious fit issues but that doesn't mean anything really but theback cover seated well.
I'm pretty handy so if they do need resealed, I can cross that bridge later. Until then I'm happy with the results. The beam pattern is markedly different than the oem units and it's taking some getting used to. I think I have them adjusted comfortably and correctly within spec. No one flashed me on the way to work in the early AM today so I'm certain the beam pattern isn't dazzling. |
