any idea on the purpose of the x-pipe before the Y...seems redundant when its that close...usually that helps with rasp on v8's, just curious if its the same thinking

It was most likely done for those specific reasons as well as to provide a unique sound for the exhaust.

I haven't heard this exhaust in person yet but I'd say it should be about the same noise level as the Berk sport and maybe a bit louder when you are full throttle. Ark only has 5 exhausts currently in stock and if we can get a minimum of 5 orders I can get a very good introductory group buy price. Ark said that it should still fit on the convertible. |

This isn't meant to be a straight pipe exhaust. The reason for the piping is for an amazing sound and to produce no drone. Plus the biggest restrictions on cars are the catalytic converters, once those are removed there isn't many restrictions left.
A straight pipe exhaust vs an exhaust that may have a few more turns is very negligible and not noticeable power wise. |

it sounds pretty nice.
it looks like exhaust is only $1200 from their website with SEMA discount. That's not bad price at all for full catback. Last edited by parky1215; 10-11-2012 at 04:46 PM.. |

If you get specific pricing nailed down I'd be interested to know.
