AC Question **ISSUE**

Does anyone's 1er have this issue:

When driving with the AC turned on, it intermittently sounds as though it turns off then back on (as the internal vents open and close). It happens every 4-5 minutes while driving.

Why does this happen? Is this an issue I should be concerned with?

I am pretty sure that it's the auto recirc flap. Mine does it when I have the auto recirc on. Annoying isn't it?

I think it's by design though, although much louder than other cars that do the same thing. Try turning the auto recirc off, and see if it still happens.

Ya it is that automatic recirc that seems to go on and off when "on". Don't know why, but it does get annoying because its noticeable.
