standard oil change and injectors cleaned leaves me thinking . . .
Got this done at Bavarian Specialties in KOP, PA. So they did a standard oil change and said they also cleaned the fuel injectors (I think that's what they said) with redline. The oil has been changed one other time since I got the car, but the injectors never cleaned to my knowledge. I feel like the car pulls better. I do think this is likely all in my head. Has anyone had the injectors cleaned also that experienced a nice increase in pull?
Thanks, I'm curious about if it actually made a difference! |

I just put a bottle of Techron into my last tank of gas and a couple of people have commented that the engine sounds a little smoother. The pull also feels more eager and linear... but it could also be psychological.
I've only got 38k miles so for me it was just preventative maintenance, hadn't expected to notice a difference. |

Yea the engine is a LOT smoother as my brother noticed this right away too. However I don't know if it was because of the oil change (7k after last one) or the injector cleaner. I have 22k miles on mine

was wondering about the same thing today... thinking of running injector/fuel sys cleaner but wasn't sure if it'd be a waste or worth it in our cars. My 135 have almost 48k so thought i should run some through.

I think it might be worth a shot. The shop I went to was a quality bmw/merc only shop (Labor is $100/hr), and the owner says he has been putting this injector cleaner in the cars whenever they do an oil change for a couple years now. I do not think he would be doing this if it caused harm to the engine components, which would be the only reason not to . .
