Perfect Wheel specs for 245/35/18 - 265/35/18?
I decided on 245/35/18 - 265/35/18 Fedral RSR's
I'm on stock suspension. For now ill just be pulling the pins out to get a little more camber up front until I get coilovers down the road. I want to make sure I wont rub on the track. Its a dual duty car. Im thinking 18x8.5 / 18x9.5 What offsets should I be looking for? Thanks

Why do I need to have the extra camber? Why cant I just run a slightly less aggressive offset? Will it hit the strut?

So, a more aggressive offset would cause it to rub against the fender?
There is no middle ground with only -1 degree of camber with 245's in front?

I run bilstein PSS coils, Federal RSRs 245 up front and have 2mm between strut and ~5mm between fender with Dinan Camber Plates. These tires run 1.5 sizes wide

Probably you should get the 18x8.5 ET38 front wheels. You will need around 2.0 to 2.5 degrees front camber to make it fit, and maybe a slight roll on the front guards, trim the front bumper tab as well. Obviously you need appropriate clearance for track use, and for the possible event that you end up on the run off area at full steering lock. If you get the ET45 wheels it wouldn't have enough clearance for the coilovers. ET45 is very marginal clearance for suspension components, so its possible to have issues. With ET38 you can still have trouble with the coilover spring perch, but with the right spring specs it should be possible to make it fit. In the worst case it could require a 3mm spacer, but its not too bad.
Rear wheels will need offset of around ET54 to ET58. Assuming you use max negative camber on the rear. |

I run apex ec-7 with those tire sizes ( RS2, Star Spec, NT01) but needed front camber for track days to avoid rubbing on ET45 front offsets. It clears my stock suspension but under compression the camber lets the tire tuck under the fender.
Coilover setups might need different offsets, as noted. |

To make it simple - there is simply not room to fit an 8.5" wheel with a 245 with stock camber, full stop. If you found an offset that wouldn't hit the fender under load, it would be against the strut, or vice versa. You are going to need at LEAST 2 degrees of camber.

Much easier. Anything over a +50 or so should be fine.

Alternatively, I'm local and selling a pair of ARC8 18x9 ET42. Use those up front with a 5mm spacer.
