I think I've caught the bug...
So last night I performed my first MOD on my SGM 1er...adding shadowline bmw performacne kidney grills.
I know this is an easy DIY.. but for a hot second (after three or four attempts to remove the first grill), I thought I'd made a huge mistake and was going to regret messing with a brand new 45k car. Boy was I wrong. After succesfully installing the grills... I woke up this morning CRAVING more MODS! MORE MODS! What should I attempt next? Any thoughts? |

I know the feeling, first was the JB+, then I got addicted now have DCI's, FMIC, and Coilovers. With exhaust, tire's, flash tune, and LSD next. I'm addressing performance first before I do cosmetics.

I've done suspension before touching any performance mods. I've done tyres, KW V2's and now picked up the M3 front sway bar. I've also finished my car cosmetically - tint, grills, skirts, diffuser, lip, wheels etc. Power is the last thing this car needs but I know once I do get a tune I'll probably regret not doing it earlier.

first time i threw the tune and intake in, i didn't notice it as much as expected, however, when i switch between maps now, I feel like the 300hp is an absolute dog....
then when i switch back again, it just feels like the car is "alive" reminds me of my old WRX with stupid turbo upgrade. Soooo much fun, and your neck muscles develop more trying to hold your head steady. then you experience it from the passenger seat and you really feel it there. |

If you plan on tracking the car, the M3 front sway is one of the cheapest and best ways to significantly improve handling. The stock car understeers too much. On a tight track you won't even need the 300 horses. THEN once your car can actually go around corners without pushing wide and into the shrubbery, go nuts with a 400hp tune

is it that easy to cure the understeer? I was going to upsize the front tires and sway bar and likely camber plates. but if i really only have to do the sway to get rid of it, that would be the nicest.
