P1030 code after a going over a speed bump

Hey guys I need some help... I went over a big speed bump today at a fairly slow speed and immediately my reduced power light came on. The code was read as P1030 which is apparently the VVT actuator.

Do you think this could be just the harness since it seemed very related to this bump? Or am I looking at replacing the whole motor unit? I have done all the work on my car so far but this seems beyond my skills.

2011 135i with about 56K miles, stage 2+ MHD, no issues at all so far. Thanks!
