Well look at it this way, you could have bought a Toyota, had the gas peddle stick, smash your car into someone killing them and be sent to jail...true story. Oh, guy just got out due to Toyota admitting the issue with the car.

These stories probably scare the hell out of a prospective buyer ... even if it is covered for 10yrs.

I cant understand why you would purchase a 135i. BMW sets the residual way better than how these things actually depreciate. If the 2011's have good fuel systems, nobody is going to want a 2008-2010. even with a fuel system that works, I still would never want to own a complicated turbo engine past warranty... anything blows up, it will be stupid money.

I agree. A 2008 135i is worth maybe $25k now give or take a grand based on miles condition options.
I have to laugh when I read posts critiquing VW GTI quality. Compared to the 135i issues a GTI is rock-solid. |

Just got her back a few hours ago. The staff at Paul Miller handled the entire situation well. I'm glad the respected my request not to wash the car.
In addition to a new pump (part 933), the car had updated software. My radio presets were unchanged. My bass and treble selections were back at default. The 3x blinker tap option and the auto lock for the doors were also turned off. I do not hear the priming of the pump when the door is unlocked, but I'm guessing the pump is primed being that my car was already running. The car feels just as powerful, but the paddles and manual mode were not as crisp as before. After some spirited driving, I feel its adapting and is already getting a bit better. Overall the entire ride is a bit more refined, but not less powerful. No noticeable turbo lag. Glad to have her back. I missed driving the 1'er.

Also, I thought I read the car runs a bit cooler with the new software, and after getting on it, it's just below 250 degrees. Same as before.
