Honestly, there is not much in it at all. Considering both cars are auto it really does come down to who gets the jump. The only way to really test the cars is as per M5Board runs - ie from a roll up to >200 thus kind of negating the effect of whoever 'jumps' first.

In my mind, I have no doubt in saying Edwins car will be faster once he gets it in whatever race spec trim he wants. As for now.. it is like splitting hairs.

lol someone might be too busy in the snow. tbh i dont think I have much chance at the drags. edwin has times much faster than I can manage.

I was thinking it might be good to organise a private day on a weekend sometime this year. Maybe get another forum like a VW forum etc. to split the costs and prop up the numbers and have a bit of marque rivalry.

Sounds good, Veedub guys are in to it as well and they I think they had their own private drag day last month.

Almost half a second between the cars over 400m. Now that's a lot IMO. However I can't run fast times consistantly the way Suj can in the C63 (that's my first excuse).

I don't think there is much chance of running an 11.932 in my car stock. I might be able to manage some lower 12s if 60' times improve, but over the 1/4 the chubby 135i will win. Make it a full mile and see what happens

Stock??? You have the AMG Power Package and slicks. Your car hauls ass.
A full mile or even a half mile would be perfect.

Suj's AMG definitely traps higher mph than my car. I've only trapped 117 & 118mph once.

I think stock C63's trap around 114-115mph. The Power Package adds about 3mph which is a decent improvement, but I think relatively modest considering aftermarket options around.

Edwin, what is your consistent trap? My best is 117.8mph. I need to hook my meth kit back up and get back out there

My traps are normally between 113-115mph.
Don't know how you've gone so long without having meth. My wife has the car today and asked me if that meth thingy is on or off. She's a big fan of map 3 and FUB=100

A mate of mine has custom tuned his C63 for 334rwkw. He was on stock conti 5P tyres and ran a 12.359 and I think he trapped at 116something.. Unfortunately that was his one and only run ever.. we're trying to get him back out to see how much better the car can do because his numbers so far are pretty modest.

What does your Performance Kit include exactly? Tune and intake? Sounds like he has a modest tune but I'm not too familiar with the C63. I do know that my fastest traps have resulted from some of my slowest ET's and my fastest ET's have come from my slowest traps too (for eg my ET in my sig). It would be good to see what your mate can put down if he makes a few more passes.

Perf kit is - Tune to 358kw (from 336 standard), forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft from SLS (ie lighter I guess), 2 piece composite rotors + RED CALIPERS!!!, c/f spoiler and leather/alcantara steering wheel.

And I quote directly from MB website...

"Variable intake manifold painted in titanium grey allows you to anticipate the power output of the engine."

Woohoo.. painted engine bling is the secret to the performance kit.

Sounds like the BMW Performance Kit which is not exactly bang for buck performance but you retain your warranty. Both net about 6% increase in power. Still better than standard though and enough to just notice. Those cosmetic goodies would be nice though

Going to try and get there this Wednesday. It would be the last time for a while too as I really need to sort out my suspension and LSD etc as it isnt that enjoyable to drive at the moment. The engine is willing but the chassis just isnt able.
