135i DCT PPK1 / PE dyno

Hey guys

I took my car to a shop w/ a dynojet.. I'm happy w/ the results on horsepower, but the torque doesn't look right to me. I'm fairly inexperienced in the tuner game so pardon my ignorance but I felt the guy operating the dyno didn't know what he was doing or the car wasn't cooperating with him, or maybe just something else is going on! I think the runs were in 3rd or 4th.. not sure.

I did research online most of the PPK1 cars make max torque at around 2500-3100 RPM:

Dyno I found of n55 ppk1 online: look specifically at max torque at about 2600 RPM

it seemed like the dyno was only logging the torque at 3000+ RPM, can that even happen? so my max torque was 282 at about 3800 RPM if I'm reading graph right? he said because the car was DCT everytime he tried to floor it in 3rd/4th gear at that low of an RPM the car would automatically downshift into 2nd or 3rd?

Actually recorded a video of that exact thing happening. Plus for some reason all the ABS lights were on and the car had errors on the navi screen but he said that was normal? heh

VID:

My dyno.. torque curve doesn't start until 3k+?

Any thoughts are welcomed.. considering taking it somewhere else, but can't complain for $60 bux and the car is making the horsepower it should at least. Basically a little confused as to why I can put down 292 HP to the wheels but my torque not be anywhere near the 300+ other PPK1 cars are putting down.

He was must've been hitting the kick down. Even in manual mode, if you floor the pedal and hit the kick down switch, the car will downshift into the lowest possible gear. I suggest going out and flooring the pedal a few times with car off to feel the kick down. Then go out and practice going full throttle without pressing the kick down switch. When you are logging or dynoing, you want to push the pedal all the way down until right before the kick down. It's still full throttle, but it won't diwnshift in manual mode.

Interesting.. right, I mean if I compare my max torque at about 4k RPM to what the other graph shows at 4k rpm it's spot on, for some reason he couldn't get the car full throttle in 3rd/4th without making the car down shift =/

o well, long as the car is running good i don't care.. don't need to see the number to be absolutely sure just thought something wasn't right
