Talking Todays the day...

Time to pick up my 128i Coupe today

I'm usually very thorough when checking over a car prior to delivery but is there anything in particular I should look out for?

Other than that, the weather's supposed to be good, so me & the one should be having a nice 1st weekend together

Pics to follow.

Wish me luck!

double check the options list with what you ordered, check for any defects, damage during PDI/shipping, paint swirls, bring some champagne and wife.

Thanks guys!

Everything was as it should be & there was less swirl marks than I expected having seen some of the black sapphire's in their showroom.

And now I've picked up the car I can let you know the price

128i Coupe

Black Sapphire Matallic
Automatic Steptronic Transmission
Glass Sunroof
USB

MRSP $38,150
Freight/PDI $2195
Doc Fee $495
Admin Fee $295

Total $40,935

I paid a shade under $37,000 with about $500 worth of extra's thrown in (car mats, y-lead, umbrella etc.)

My SA was the least pushy BMW SA I've met & did a great job for me.

If I could do it again, I'd have Jet Black & no Sunroof as I really wanted a stripped car.

Hey Alan,

They don't have any AW 128i in stock.

I don't think they have AW coupes in stock at all.

I might be wrong though so call around & see.

550 here, and spent the morning cleaning the brake dust off my rims.

Drove throughout Ontario over the weekend, and am now fully in love with this car.

Sounds fun!

I had too many errands to do this weekend to take advantage of my car.

Next weekend I'll have to take a trip somewhere & really enjoy it!

What gas mileage are you getting? Half a tank has lasted me 250 km's so far... hope it improves!

Hi Alan,

I don't have the direct number with me but you could call the main number & ask for Philip.

I got just under 300km from a half tank with my 135...and that's the first 300km on the car.

interesting real life figures
300km with 1/2 tank on hwy or just city driving?
how's that relate to the fuel consumption from the BMW spec?
anywhere close to what you are expecting?

All city but Calgary has several high-speed (80km/h+) connector roads within the city. I'm at about 10.4 L/100km right now...better than I expected considering the changes.

I've done just over 300km's & I've used 3/4 of a tank.

About 100 city, 150 hwy & 50 hwy but stop/start traffic.

I really hope the range gets better!
