HID Kit To Match Depo V2
Anyone knows of a good hid kit to match the depo v2's rings? Any bulbs for the fogs to match the rings and headlight ?

Message from seller of DepoV2.
"The color temp for the halo rings is 6000K, if you are getting aftermarket bulbs for these headlights, please ensure the wattage for HALOGEN bulbs is 55WATT input and 35WATT for real XENON bulbs -- this is to ensure the lights won't get overheated due to high wattage use in bulbs. Thank you." What would you guys recommend for the fog lights... halogen or Xenon? and which brand. Last edited by bazil769; 11-17-2014 at 01:37 PM.. |

This is for your actual headlight bulbs. I use em and they are top quality. They might have fog light kits as well. Let me know what you are looking to get (headlight or fog light)

That may be where my confusion is coming into play! Keep forgetting not everyone has an e82! But all bulbs are the same size between our models. Yes those should work great. Stock runs 4k and bulb replacement is usually the cheapest way. Save money too! Going with HID for the Lo Beams ?

Yes E88. Thanks. I wanted to go with HID's for the lo beam but if i can find a halogen bulb to color match the rings that are significantly brighter than stock then i would def go with that.

That's why I decided to go with HIDs for Lo beams in order to compensate for both.

which bulbs did you get the 3FIVE or the XB? Which ballast did you get the XB55 (50 WATTS) or the XB35 (35 WATTS)? What harness did you get canabus or hd? I read the canabus is for error cancellation.

Stick with the 35W version ballast and bulb so you don't run into overheating issues inside your headlamp. Your also going to want to get the CANBUS.

Ok. Thanks. Did you have to drill a hole in the rear headlight cover for the harness? Where did you put the balast and what did you use to secure it? Do you have any pics of the installation before/after?

As far as placement of extra wires and ballasts.. I can take pictures, there's really no wrong way to do it and you can get fancy if you want. I'm lazy and just bolted and zip tied the wires to existing areas near the air box and passenger side rails. Another point. Go ahead and pre install the hid kit/bulbs in the DEPOs before install. This saves time and gives you the opportunity to make those close up inspections to make sure bulbs are aligned straight!

Looking at cost & the nature of these projectors i think its a smarter idea to put these instead. Hopefully i get alot more light output from them without the drilling and expense of an HID kit.

These suck in the depo v2 i installed them and they look horrible. Did not match the rings and look yellow. I am now searching an led or hid conversion for the headlamps and led fogs.
