+1 do what makes you happy but this is essentially very wasteful. I don't think many are in a position to be wasteful either.

I'm not sure I understand the M3 cluster, but +1 on having a goal in mind and seeing it through.

Just out of curiosity, though, wouldn't it have been cheaper to sell the 135i and buy a 1M?

Looks very well done, but I think the M3 cluster idea is not a very good one. Having a fake redline is as bad as rebadging.

Only thing I really care for are the seats.

For the money spent, I would've just held out for a 1M in the used market, chipped it, swapped seats and pocket the $40k.

Looks very nicely done although I bet it was expensive.

Need to remove the M badge on the rear though since it's not an M.

Simsims beat me to it. Why the heck is there a huge akrapovic sticker on the bumper? No parts

I think the car looks very nice. It's not a financially wise decision, but what "car addict" makes sound decisions when it comes to our automobiles? I do think at this point the car has to have an LSD (even aftermarket) to be truly legitimate.

I also question the Akrapovic sticker....

Nicely put.

I'd kill for those seats. Dump the plain black wheel treatment. Get a better photographer to show off your hard-earned spending spree.

Nice ride, thanks for sharing!

Have you seen what people are asking for their 1M. Cheapest I have seen one listed, is $55k. Most are $60k-$80k+.

If you buy a low mileage N54 135i for mid $20k's. That leaves you with a huge budget for a build.

Someone could just do what BMW did and make a parts bin 1M.

Although the op went mostly cosmetic.

Looks neat. Expensive, but pretty cool.

Love the BMW Performance Seats. I wish they were made for the E88 cars. FYI, in spite of what people say, the Performance Seats CAN be successfully installed on US cars, and coded to work properly! They are available online on a few German dealer sites.
