Wheel painters in Melbourne

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting my wheels painted (or powdercoated) and wondering if any of you living in Melbourne could give me a recommendation, and also an estimate of what would be a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance!

What cost is involved in painting a set of wheels?

EDIT; contacted them - two options, painting just the face only - $700 for a set of 4 wheels , or inside and out - $1100.

If I want to change my VMR's from matte black to gloss - it would be cheaper to just buy new ones and then I'd have the old as spares or to sell.

Neway Wheels in Heidelberg were great and are used by many of the large dealerships in the east side.

Had all 4 wheels repaired and recoloured.

I contacted them and asked for a quote.

Maybe they've jacked their prices up - for a $130 a wheel I'd do it, for $275 a wheel = no f#%king way, that is ridiculous.

I paid between $650 to $700 for all 4 wheels repaired and recoloured, both face and inside.

Although everyone recommended Wheel Solutions at the time, I could not justify the extra spend.

Don't think inside really matters unless you are going for a radically different colour, as it will be covered by brake dust most it's life.

I know you are in Melbourne but you should look at powder coating. I just had a set of 18" rims done. They cost me $325 for the lot. If I had taken them to the the people who had them powder coated first, it would have been $300 as they sand blast as well, not to mention the time I would have saved. They turned out really good too.
Mine were done at Salisbury in Brisbane. If any one in Brisbane want's to know who did them please send me a pm.
