Plasti dip party

So because I am bored of waiting for my custom wheel order to arrive (forge star cf5's 19s originally alufelgen SF71s) I decided to have some fun and Plasti dipped my wheels with a buddy of mine here. Im not really sure I like them though. I think the craziest thing is that I believe they make my wheels look smaller than what they were. Anyway like I said just getting restless waiting for my wheel order and wanted to try something different. Yes they get dirty very quickly but I dont mind the cleaning and I dont drive this everyday. Lot of people keep asking me why didnt I go black but just not really a fan of black wheels. Never really have been no matter the car color but especially on white. Maybe I'll try gold next time. Hopefully my wheels arrive within another month.

You spy correctly sir. I did that awhile back with a 1/4 of a can of plastidip that my buddy had. Originally I did the whole lower front bumper but then it looked so dark under there (no contrast) it just looked like the lower bumper was missing so I removed the middle part. I think it looks much better this way. Ya my car has a lot of small cosmetic things. Especially sense the last time I posted pics. Ive been trying wait to post pics until its completely done (when my wheels show up) but we may all be blind and deaf by then haha.

How has the wheel held up to the heat from the brakes, brake dust and other debris. Still perfect after cleaning?

to tell you the truth its hard to say right now. Its only been a week and a few days. They still cleaned up perfectly when I cleaned em this weekend but I don't drive this car everyday and when I do my drive to work is like 6 miles so the brakes dont really get to hot. Ill hav to report back after a road trip an let ya know better

They'll hold up just fine. my winters have had blaze blue on them for months and have no signs of peeling off prematurely.

Cleaning them however, is a bitch. Dipyourcar.com sells BDP- brake dust pro, which works on plasti dipped wheels to get brake dust off without hurting the dip. Mine have gotten to the point that power washing won't get the brake dust off. But they're my winters so it doesnt really matter to me. I'm sure they'd come clean if i use some BDP or equally effective cleaner.
