I have a gear box and tail shaft to suit N54 (from a 135i), also a complete 135i rear end. I'm not sure if your interested?

Also, where abouts in qld are you located? I may know somewhere that could carry out conversion.

Also, regarding fuel pump. Why not run standard item from 135i? I can check but being direct injection the N52 pump(low side) set up might be the same anyway.

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiinterested! (gearbox especially)

tailshaft... ehhh, i'm not sure what the input is like for the 130i diff, odds are it's different lol.. could be a good idea to have anyway i guess... what prices are you after for said items?

I'm north lakes (redcliffey, just north of bris off the highway)

shooting for as much power as i can afford haha, the stock pump has been shown to bottleneck really early, i'd like to be able to run 100% E85, and not HAVE to run meth.

yeah, it could be, i'll have to check part numbers, the OE135i pump has been tested about the same as a walbro 255LPH though.

if i have to get a new fuel pump, the price difference is probably so little that the 400LPH is good value.

Riley? I'm Brendan >_< (riley used to own this car though?)

A)yeah, in addition to the above.. I have it

B) i dunno exactly.. Different diff ratio, what else? So much is being swapped lol

C) yup, it's legal still, but there's less 'checks' to go from a 3.0 to a 3.0tt

Brendan! Hahaha, what workshop?
Woopsie... ok, hey Brendan! I totally forgot Riley bought the 1602 and you bought his old car. Your writing style is quite similar to his

FYI - there's one or two damaged 135i's at GMS Spares in Revesby, Sydney. Just in case a QLD wrecker doesn't have what you need.

Workshop is called Racetige.. here in Sydney. Haven't checked it out yet, only saw them posting in minien's e87 1M thread.

Absolutely

I've yet to make a thread on there (or an account).. only BB, CHR, and tidbits on PF (mostly questions), i'll put one there a bit later, when there's more solid stuff.. They're great guys there, had a good chat with them (about general stuff) at the last circuit and coffee - Downshift meets/CnC are definitely regular things in the future for me regardless

Thanks ^_^

--
Also, i've had a brief chat with JW racing, they had a ton of clean cars (albeit mostly commos, though they seem to do some jdm/euro as well) at the last CnC, said they built two 130i race cars a few years ago, which sounds promising lol.. so i'll visit and have a chat with them tomorrow hopefully

No harm in investigating all possible options lol

I did at one stage go 'it would be smarter and easier to get a supra/r34/evo and NOT molest the bmw'.. But then i don't have that much garage space, and it's not as fun/interesting haaah

They're the first place i called even before getting the engine

Didn't seem interested, quite the opposite.. Pretty much went 'ehhhhhh yeah it's possible... Just try and get as much info as possible to make it easier for me... Not soon i hope? We're booked a while into next year..' or something like that

Which is a fine time frame, i think they're always pretty booked solid.. it just seemed like they weren't super keen on the job, or that i was just screwing around maybe lol.. I'll have another chat with them before i commit

just a couple of photos of the car as it is now, from downshift yesterday, after coilovers, control arms and m sway bar, plasti dipped wheels etc.

updates on stripping the engine soon, hoe into it over this week/next weekend as i just bought an engine stand to get it off the ground, and a gearbox from the uk (1200AUD shipped at ~50,000km )
