Direct ignition coil R8?

So I have been seeing online people use Audi R8 ignition coils on n54.

Is it that easy?
Buy coils and the pigtails for the wiring harness?

Any further modifications?
Any benefit?

Stick with OE or if you want to upgrade, the Precision Raceworks ignition kit seems to work really well at smoothing things out.

R8 coils look like a great option on paper. As they don't go through the DME they can utilize much more power. Just what's needed for stronger sparks. I will likely go the R8 root. Bimmer Life do an option.
