I love how the warrenty is uneffected. Its the reason all of parts will be comming from BMW perf!
Now if only they could figure out how to make rear rotors for my damn car

You're right about that. There arent any tuning options that are 100% covered by a BMW factory warranty though.

no company would do that, obviously
but there's dinian, and remove the tune/clear the codes which seems to still be working

If 300hp 335i and 135i's are a fib, I'm wagering that 20hp would be one too. Its unlikely it will be as aggressive as any of these other aftermarket tunes. Its not going to punish an M3 but it will close the gap IMO.

If the long awaited performance upgrade for the N54 only costs $500 from BMW - installed, I'll go get one tomorrow. I'm expecting it to cost $2k or more.

$500 is a pipe dream IMO. The JCW tune for the MINI is about $1800. It is nice that they will replace whatever accessory if it goes to hell though

Thats even more ridiculous then.
I refuse to pay BMW a non-refundable security deposit for a reflash that does about the same thing as a JB1 I get that it'll save your warranty, but come on... Do any of you really think BMW would release a 1-2k option that would help the n54 further encroach on the M3. I doubt it. The perf package will probably just flesh out the low end and mid throttle response. They wouldn't increase the power to a point where they could even suspect it causing very minor problems. |

Guys remember this (from threads I've previously posted in)
1: BMW Performance does not have an LSD planned 2: ALL aftermarket tunes void current warranty and CPO, BMW has made that clear BMW their bulletin.
