AR Catless Downpipe Questions?

Could anyone who already has a set of these installed answer a few questions for me.

1. Do AR actually make dedicated RHD downpipes, or do their LHD downpipes fit our cars?

2. Does anyone know the difference between the RHD and LHD pipes if there is in fact a difference?

3. Has anyone had to alter their AR Downpipes to get them to fit properly?

4. When ordering did you Specify that you needed RHD Downpipes?

5. Where in Queensland have the Queensland guys got them installed?

Apologies for all the questions, It's just that I was about to pull the triger on a set and rang an installer today who had only just finished a set on a 135i where he had to bend them and alter the position of the O2 bung to get them to fit properly.

Many thanks in advance.

AR Design told me that they dont send different pipes for us Aussies so all I can go by is what they told me however in saying that it does not apply to all brands. I got the iCarbon ones and they told me that they would fit with no problems and I had to have the bung relocated as you mentioned and it cost me a few hundred extra on the install. If you buy the AR design ones you wont have any install issues, if you want to be safe just specify to them that you want RHD ones but they told me for their stock there is no difference and they send the same dps to everyone.

1. Ask for RHD pipes. There should be no difference, but just ask to be certain. They fit no problem
2. I don't see the need to know this, just order the RHD ones.
3.Mine fit properly with no issues
4.Not required, but better safe than sorry

I am getting a set of dps for someone and ill be buying AR Design ones so that he doesnt have the same problems that I had. I have the iCarbon ones, I got them on the group buy opening special for like $700 delivered so they were much cheaper however I did have to pay a little extra for the install so it probably worked out the same. I got mine installed by APC at Underwood.

not sure about that, those guys deal with 135s on a daily basis so they do know their stuff but I would probably check with AR Design to confirm. As I said though I sent a pm to AR Design and they told me that their RHD & LHD pipes = same however they could just be telling everyone that to throw us off who knows lol.

1. The "LHD" AR downpipes fit our RHD cars. I don't believe there are any versions, just one worldwide AR downpipe design.

2. As above.

3. They do not need alteration to fit, that is a big plus for AR Design downpipes.

4. No as above.

5. Can't help you there!

Accelerate Automotive have installed a couple sets of AR downpipes on 135i's. They are located in Coopers Plains.

+ 1 would recommend Accelerate Automotive

I got mine done at Bayside Performance who have done a few 335i downpipes and even they said the AR Design pipes were the easiest they've installed, fitment was very good
