Dinan LSD
http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=791&page=1 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL (MANUAL ONLY) The Dinan torque-sensing (Torsen) limited slip differential improves traction when you need it most. Dinan's limited slip differential uses intricate gearing to limit wheel spin and apply power to both wheels. This allows the car to accelerate harder off the line and out of a corner due to the increased traction. The torque-sensing design of the differential will never cause it to fully lock making the added traction easy to handle and fun to drive. The stock drive gear ratio is left unchanged. Part #: D773-0007 Labor Hours: 2.9 Price: $2595.00 Point Value: 2 Special Notes: Sold on an exchange basis; $1400.00 refundable core deposit. Not applicable for Sport Automatic models.

If I remember correctly this was posted early and it was found that this was just the Quaife LSD. Could be wrong though.

BTW, I'm very happy with my Quaife and the price seems pretty good, so I say go for it. Given that you've done BMW or Dinan for everything else I think this would make a great addition.
Although it wouldn't be Dinan, I have heard good things about the Wavetrac, so you might want to consider that too.

Someone mentioned they were installing Quaife's a while back but that they stopped doing them for licensing reasons. Not sure about the validity to that claim though, and there's no mention about it from Dinan. But I wouldn't be surprised if they are just acting as a reseller, maybe with some custom modifications (such as they did with Koni for suspension parts)

Yes, which is why I haven't bought anything for my car in awhile. Well that and the fact that I practically drained my savings paying taxes this year. Hopefully some official info about the 1 series M is released before I ever put money down on an M3 order though the N/A V8 is still too enticing. If I never test drove the M3, I'm pretty sure I'd have an appointment with Dinan to get that LSD installed right about now.

They kept the 3.08 ratio with their LSD. I spoke to Dinan the other day about it.

hardly a reason not to allow in AT though. Many running increased boost don't need the AT ratio. Just look at how many launch in 2nd gear...I wonder if Mr. Dinan is willing to sell to AT owners.

I've inquired about an AT LSD. Steve Dinan is at the races right now And won't be back to answer the question for a few days.
