I have an e90 330xi w/ slushbox (automatic). To everyone w/ automatic, does the light highlighting the P (park) stay illuminated when you turn off your car? Mine stays on, is this normal?

Yes, the "Park" light remains lit even after the car has been turned off and the doors locked. I believe it remains this way for 15 minutes and then cuts off. I do not know why it does this, but I have never had a problem with it running down the battery. So, no worry. But if I had to guess, I would say that it is related to the fact that the manual says something about heated seat memory remaining for 15 minutes after the car is turned off. Sounds like some level of power is used to keep the car awake for 15 minutes after the key is removed.

Thanks man, I just checked it and it had turned off. I picked up the car today, so I guess I am obsessing a bit.
