You have almost bicycle tires on your 135.. That's why. You need wider tires then 205 on your traction wheels.. are you kidding me?

Your running the same setup as zipnbye. The haka 5's are more winter control than performance in that size. Tradeoff for much better snow and ice traction.

Please tell me you aren't trying to bomb around your city with skinny ass winter tires on. Please.

How hard are you trying to accelerate? Skinny tires with a lot of soft tread is great for winter traction, but terrible for the pavement. I'm guessing you might be driving a bit too aggressive and the DTC is detecting some minor slipping.

1-2-3 is ok its 4 and up, like to go from 100kmh to 110kmh in 6 ??

I dont think that a stock 135 has that much power to spin the tire

Garage List
Well, lets see.

Size = good.

Winter compound = slippery on bare asphalt, more so when it's not freezing and worse when hot.

Lots of power = spin.

I can spin my summer tires when driving in a spirited manner, so yes, you need to adjust your driving style when wearing your winter boots. That's a no-brainer!!!

Will lower Tire Presure helps? OP, what PSI you had on your F/R tires?

I feel you! I have a 128i and just put on my winter kit this weekend, with 205/50/17 (Continental Extreme WinterContact) and I've noticed the same thing! And I don,t have your horsepower! I to was wondering WTF!

I imagine we just have to get used to it....

For winter with lots of snow, OPs 17s are fine. However, it is not okay for summer, dry pavement.

I don't have that problem. But then again I don't drive WOT like an idiot with winter tires on! Sometimes, I can feel some wheel slippage. But its winter time and one must... well... chill out some (pun intended!) - on your driving style.

There a wee bit less traction from a standstill... but on a roll my snow tires are ok. The main thing I notice is that my 17"s give a lighter steering feel them with my summer 18's on.
