Red face Cheapest place to get a BMW performance exhaust for a 128i

Hi All,

I was wondering where is the best place / online store to buy a BMW performance exhaust for a 2008 128i.

Thanks all!

I got a Berk exhaust and local shop I took 45 mins to do mine.
I am assuming its the same, I am sure you can DIY the install

I would think its going to be a 45min to 1hr job.
Of course the labour rates differ from place to place

I am getting a quote of 1.5 hour for a bmw pe exhaust installation. Thanks for your input.

I'm hoping others who have a PE installed may reply on this thread..

PE

With a lift it takes 20 minutes max. Check the DIY section, user MikeinAlexandria did the writeup. You cut the old exhaust off a few inches before the muffler and clamp the new one on.

Doesn't the PE require cutting? That might factor in a little extra time. I know most axlebacks that just bolt on can be done in 20 minutes.. but if you need to cut out the resonator, then maybe a bit more.

The cheapest place, as has been said is either getbmwparts.com (Tischer BMW) or United BMW. You can ask either of them here on the forum too. I find that if you ask a vendor on here, they tend to offer nicer prices, or give free shipping, or other incentives over ordering straight from a website.

Have ordered a Performance E-Brake from these guys. Seems to be 5-10% under Tischer... Easy to work with.

I would call them and check it out. Since it doesn't say anything about 128 vs 135 you might wanna just be sure. Should only take a few mins on the phone!

By the way, why is there such a huge price variance between these 2 products if they're the same thing?

Do you have a friend, sawzall and a jack? My dad and I put mine on in about 45 minutes. It was a breeze.

And in terms of price, I got it on ebay for about $650 shipped.
