They are not objective enough. Seem to tip toe around the local car market so as not to upset them. The HSV v's FPV should have had a lot more objectivness. Whick car did they like, why and what were the dislikes in each of them.

I was wondering that too about the driving style.
When we was driving the GT and spun it, for me it was like he meant to spin it for the TV, not from trying so hard that the car just went around. I guess I can't judge because I am no racing car driver! Good Luck to them, I guess as I wish it was me thrashing the SHIT out of the cars |

I cacked myself laughing at Warren Brown's response to criticism about his small collection of rubble at the pit ... "small piles are great - when you're 80". Very sharp wit! And it's hard to go past his "fully sikh" cartoon. So far, I reckon he's been a great find for the show.

Yeh the ford/holdenn thing...not that I care for either - but what a cop out. Too scared to alienate anyone so lets say it was a tie...very soft in my opinion.

I hear you, but struth, neither is the UK show. It's more about entertainment than objectively telling us about the cars. :-)

Agree it's got a long way to go, but I think show 2 was much better. Still not as overtly amusing as UK version, but as we've said many times, it took Jezza, Richard & (James) a season or so to warm up. And it really hit it's straps with their challenges, races etc.
I think a bit of patience is needed. They've made a big investment, so hopefully it will get a proper chance to make its mark. As far as ratings go, Seinfeld rated poorly in Aus for at least 2-3 seasons. Now many consider it classic. Time will tell.

Gee up
Quote:
I agree. What a gee up over no favourite between the R8 and the F6? They should have picked a winner and have been more critical of the cars in their observations and in their testings. Did they get any actual times for comparison... even possibly lap times? I'm pretty sure in the drag race the R8 got about a second head-start as well which looked a bit dodgy. They did way too many burnouts and not enough comparisons. Bit disappointed. Still good to see the cars side by side though. |

IMHO
This show is crap. Not a patch on the real TG. Tries too hard and doesn't have a character of its own. It might improve with time, but there is a lot of improving to be done.

Dear Aus TG,
I'd tried to like you, I really did, but in the end all I was saying to myself was "what were you thinking..." |

LOL
They are so lame doing drag races and dirt tracks... boring. I feel like the best when a celebrity walks in, sit down, and bring some personality to that damb ass sitting opposite. I really annoyed by Charlie, I really do.
