What is Widest tire on rear of 135i I can do?

Does anyone know the widest tire that I can put on the rear of my 135i vert?

Looking at 265/35/18 on rear and 225/40/18 on front

steve

depending on your rim size/offset and ride height, that could work...you may still need a fender roll, however

You must also consider the brand of tires as some side walls of the tires are wider.

I am running Kumho SPT 255/30/19 (19x9.5 45 offset) rear and 225/35/19 (19x8.5 40 offset) fronts and the rear rubbed without rolling the fenders.

I hope this helps

Why would you want such a set up? It will understeer like a pig. Anyway, with the right offset you could comfortably fit 285s. Fred's (Evolution Racewerks) race car has 285s.

Garage List
"Understeer like a pig"..lmao. Not all of us track our car. Going to 255 rears and leaving the front stock would be fine for how most of us use our cars (redlight drag racing daily drivers).

I woulda thought pigs tended to oversteer.

LMAO! This thread has started to get hilarious! I agree that not all of us track our car and I agree with the prior comments.

I agree that the set up will push like a pig...by the way, pushing like a pig referrs to trying to get a direct a pig...us old farm kids know they just go in a straight line only. Just a little FYI...
