09 135i base

Ok just got a base run on my whip. I did like 4 runs. Bone stock was 262whp and looks like 270lbs of toque. Then put a k&n drop in and gained 2 hp. Here are the graphs. I'm gong to throw in a custom exhaust, better intake and a jb4 next week and post the new numbers.

I'm curious as to the gains you can achieve, can you give us some history/details about your car, and hopefully you can use the same dyno for all tests.

I did the same thing with my car. I didn't get a read bone stock but I did it with the JB4 turned off then on map 1 and 5. Curious to see what brands you go with and what your final numbers will be.

The car is a 09 135i 6mt with 49000 miles on it. I bought it with 39000.
The dyno I used was the one at the shop I work at. So any runs will be done on that one. It's a dyno dynamics the numbers run a little lower on this dyno then most other brands.

What did you run with the jb4 off? And what were your final numbers? What brand dyno did you use?

I just put a jb4 in ill probably dyno it tomorrow. I also have v band flanges on the way, I'll be making an exhaust soon. I'm thinking of going with a Riss racing intake.

Ok did another run today with the jb4 on map 1. I didn't make what I hoped I would. 291whp and 330lbs. Our intake temp probe took a crap so a new one is one the way. Without the proper intake temp value the numbers will be off. The car feels great tho. I bought the jb4 used so I might try and update the firmware and see what happens.

A dissapointing run is just an excuse to mod more! Add a fmic, dps, and intake; then youll see serious gains. 330 torques is nothing to sneeze at though.

With the JB4 off I think it was close to 300 tq and around 280hp. I'm not exactly sure. I didn't get a read out of that run. I also have exhaust intake and 93octane gas. On map 5 it peaked at 370 tq and 343 hp with slightly over 14psi boost. This was only a couple days after I put everything on so I'm not sure what the learning curve of map 5 is The car was definitely pulling the timing a lot because of the high intake temps. So I can't wait to get dp's and fmic and see what kind of a difference that's going to make. Hoping I can get to the 400tq at the wheels. I have the dual cone injen intake on it and I'm toying with the idea of making a small fiberglass box to surround the cones and fit snug to the hood when shut and have the ducting run right into it to keep all that engine heat out of the intake. They do sit really close to the engine.

Great numbers!! What type of dyno were you on? From what i understand the dyno im on is 15% lower then dynojet. Due to dynojets large wheels.
Putting a box around your filters is a great idea.
How long do you think it takes for map 5 to learn?

I'm not sure what kind of dyno it was. It said dynomite across it. I'm not sure on a time frame for map 5. I think it's hitting more boost and just ever so slightly more power since the dyno. Could just be me wanting it more too. Hahaha.

Resurrection. Ever get the exhaust made and another run logged? I have downpipes coming this week. Then going to the dragstrip on Saturday. Can't wait!
