see www.edbmw.com (great website Irv) for anything you want to know about BMW's European Delivery program. Basically, you fly to Munich to pick up your car, stay in Europe driving your car around on the autobahn, then ship it back to the states. You also save a bit of money off the car which will be spent on the trip thanks to the tanking dollar.

I requested a pick up date of August 8. The order was a bit premature but what the hell, at least I am likely to get it on that day. The wait is going to drive me nuts...

At least I get to see it at the Cleveland Aut Show on the 23rd of this month. That should calm me down for a few days.

I'll be there the next week, not sure on the date yet as I need to check airline prices still. Also debating on where to fly out of... thought I would visit our pals in the UK and maybe fly out of london.

Where are you flying back from / whats your itinerary?

Flying into and out of Munich.

I am from over there so my itinerary will be not very "touristy." After pick up, I am driving south to Slovenia to visit my family, then to Croatia for a vacation, then to Vienna and Linz to visit family/friends before I head back to Munich.

Stay tuned about going to Croatia. There's been a recent posting that BMWNA advises that the German tourist plates may not be valid in some countries. More in this thread in bimmerfest -->http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=260908
