Brushed AluminumSteering Wheel Piece!
Does anyone know where I can get the Brushed Aluminum Piece that goes on the steering wheel? I got the Brushed Aluminum kit but I see on some pictures other cars have it. And if so, how much is that part.
Thanks

I've been told that this is the titanium finish package. The wheel cover piece is not available in aluminum. This disappointed me. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Sure thing. I was hoping to get the aluminum throughout, especially if this was an option for the steering wheel. Maybe BMW will offer it eventually.

Well, I just went through the brand new parts CD and I came up with this:
part # 32 30 6 767 715 and part # 32 30 6 771 250 that lists the cover for the multifuinction steering wheel in TITANIUM SILVER. There seems to be two version of the titanium silver color and I cant make out which part # is for which color, but maybee a dealer can help you with that. I hope this puts us on the right path and if anyone figures it out let us know. hit up your dealer and see if they can order it from europe for you with that part #, a good dealer should be able too. good luck ! |

Thanks for the post. Could it be one's sport and one's non-sport, and not a color difference?
I think I am definitely going to get one... the contrast looks so good (but the wood ones in the accessory page look horrible). |

They are definatly both for the sport multi-fucntion wheel like in that picture. They each have a distinct number next to the word titanium, sort of like a paint code, so i'm assuming there are two different finishes of silver, but i'm just not sure. Wish someone had the guts to order both and then we would know for sure. Hopefulyl someone can add in some more information on which is good for us ? |

One is Titanium Matt (standard in most euro markets), the other is Brushed Aluminum. The steering wheel piece comes in Titanium Matt btw, you'll get the black piece if you have the brushed aluminum.

Hmmm, I wonder how hard it would be to take out the black trim piece on the sport steering wheel and spray it with silver paint?
That would be a cost-effective DIY project! |

Yeah it's true. Contacted BMW UK about a week and a half ago and they confirmed that the steering wheel part only comes in titanium and is not available in brushed aluminium.
Thats shite!!!   to BMW!!!!

Is that if you've ordered the aluminium trim?

Early pre production cars had a slightly different shade of the titanium look finish, so their part had a different part number. That part is no longer made, so only the part number ending in 250 is valid now |

To be honest I was rather disappointed with the brushed ali. Would probably have been just as nice with the titanium trim. But its on now!!
