Hey Dack, thanks for the link! You did a really great write up. Will the dealer change spark plugs under warranty, or are they not covered?

They should be covered under warrnty, but some dealers will not replace them. Over here in DE you must pay for all services - so I just did mine myself.

in order to do so..

turn key to on / not running!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( all lights on, on the dash)

car in park..

step on throttle all the way to the floor past the detent

hold to floor for 2-3 minutes ... do not let go so get comfy

after time has past, step on brake, start car and go for a ride..

I did this because I was getting bad throttle response and between 2-3 and then 3-4 gear after changing I had a severe RPM drop..now after on test run after doing this for only 30 seconds, No troubles and regular mode feels like sport mode did before. Thanks a lot!

From a thread over on e90 post

1. Insert key, foot off the brake, foot off the gas.
2. press start button.
3. Press on gas pedal all the way down for 30 seconds.
4. While foot on pedal at 30 second mark press start button, release gas.
5. Leave key in, wait a full 2 min to start, press brake hit start button and drive.
