For all you JB4 owners out there
For all you JB4 owners out there that want to unlock most of the potential
from your JB4 there is a light at the end of the tunnel. When I switched over from cobb to jb4 I was a little hesitant as I never liked piggyback computers but now I'm a convert. I just had a Trebila e30 custom bb flash and all I can say is omfg what a difference compared to the free bb flashes from bms. Thanks to jd75 for organizing and working with me. I had a few issues with my car running the jb4 but thanks to the logging software we where able to work out what was happening easily on the fly. For those that are willing to run e30 don't hesitate the difference is night and day and as long as your stock pumps are up to it. I had to change my HPFP out because it was slowly failing but my LPFP is fine to run e30. Sometime this week we will be changing to a Stage 2 LPFP and e43 or 50/50 mix of ULP 98 and e85 to make things simple when filling up. If you know how to read a log this is a very clean log verified by Steve from BMS. |

Looking forward to see how you go at WSID!
Do you know if Trebila or JD offer custom pump fuel BB flashes? |

With the current map I picked up on average 3-4 mph on each pass compared to the bms pump flash.
Certainly it show that custom maps work. I'm yet to flash the e42 map and see how that goes. Keep you guys updated. |

But when you ran Cobb did you ever get a custom map or only of the shelf ("OTS" or the existing preloaded maps)?

The jb4 tune is almost half that again and with extra safety features built in and when you want to add meth later as I'm planning to do, the jb4 is the most logical choice.
Look I like the cobb for its simplicity but for people that constantly tweak their cars like me I prefer the JB4 The beauty of the jb4 is that you can log and review on the fly I'm almost certain that you cant do that with the cobb, saves lots of time. Yeah sorry my post came across a little short. I shouldn't post at work.
I was just trying to say that a custom map seems to be the winning factor - whether you go pure flash or piggy back, the custom part seems to be crucial. |

Defiantly you just cant go wrong with custom mapping
You just have to work out what system you want to use and weigh up the pro's and con's of each one. |

You should hit 11's pretty easily. I did it in a convertible 135i three years ago and it weighs about 120kgs more than a coupe and no E85. I'm way overdue for a WSID run. |
