They would work great together. Many people will be running this type of setup. The DV's are stronger than stock so they will hold more boost. You won't have the leaks like some stock DV's have. You don't want any boost spikes/creep to hurt your motor.

I forgot to post the pics of the stock charge pipe when we were making the DVs. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A OIL CATCH CAN!!!!!! This is a forum member heres 135i with only a few thousand miles......
Notice the oil coating the pipe. |

Does it sound as loud as a BOV from outside the car under hard shifting?

Not going to be as loud as a BOV because it doesn't dump into the atmosphere. But you can definitely hear it when shifting. We had on the hardest spring for the video clips, so medium will make it a little louder if you'd like. Under spirited driving, you'll definitely hear it!

That section of hose can be replaced with a 45 degree silicon elbow with 4" legs. It will give you a much smoother transition from IC discharge tube to the plastic tube just before the throttle body. |

No, these are Riss Racing Diverter Valves. But no worries, you can use your on DV's if you'd like and just purchase the piping.
