Used CLR

Has anyone used the calcium lime rust remover on their rims? Someone recommended it to me but I was not so sure as to the reaction it will have on my rims. Anyone used this particular product before?

Nope, according to what I was told... it makes a good rim cleaner. Hence, the reason for me asking to see if this even makes any sense @ all

If you are looking for a great wheel cleaner get the BMW-branded bottle... it really is made to deal with the OEM brake pads dust.

I try to avoid wheel cleaners as they bare very harsh. I know they work good but they will strip off any wax on the wheels. I find it is best to keep a good coat of wax on my rims and the brake dust is easier to remove. I just use my car soap and a microfibre wash mitt (not the same one I use on the car!) and I have good results.

No, do not recommend for your wheels, maybe for a stainless steel boat prop. This is to agressive for OEM, polished or clear coated wheels.....do not make the mistake!
