Does anyone trailer their 135?

Going to trailer my car for the first time and was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to hook tow straps to, the strength of tow straps I need, etc. I will be towing with a typical open 18' car trailer. Any input would be appreciated!

I've yet to see one trailer'd to a track yet....I can't imagine it'd much different from trailering any other car

I have only trailered large trucks which you can attach to just about anything on the under body. I noticed under the 135i there are various parts listed "do not attach tow." So I was curious how people tow them, strap placement, etc. They are so low that it is tough to find a good tow point and not scratch car.

BMW's are designed to be flat bedded / trailered with "T" hooks that are placed in the hole that is covered by the lifting blocks.. That is why the hole is oval and not round.

Also, alot of tow guys use straps thru the wheels... .. yeah i know.. but it is a choice. Factory wheels dont seem toshow any damage .. but i wouldnt say that for some aftermarket finishes...

Under no circumstances are you to attach starps or hooks to the control arms..front or rear .. they WILL BEND !!!! they are not designed for that force.

I was thinking about strapping to tires with back straps tight and front stung to try and avoid putting car out of alignment. If you want to use your jack points you can't remove the plastic pieces so I don't think that is a good option.
