Looks like I may not be joining you guys after all.

BMW/Kirsten is asking me to produce certificates of the defensive and advanced driving courses I took back in the 90s and V8 corporate drive days. They are in storage boxes somewhere. In the absence, I have to demonstrate why I should attend. After dealing with show cause situations at work, I'm not about to do that for a M drive day. Ian may be right after all, spend my $500 on a Burrow drive day instead.

Will confirm tomorrow.

Sad to hear Donald. Was looking forward to catching up. Hope it works out.

I was in the same boat, I sent them a photo of my CAMS license, explained my track day frequency, sent them a booking confirmation to a John Bowe Drive Course and a picture of my car! They were happy with those.

It may be worth calling the companies you did the courses with and asking them to look through their records and confirm directly with BMW.

They are a bit bound by their insurance to ensure the participants have prior track experience with a powerful car for the M Dynamic course. Andrew (Kirsten's manager) and I spoke yesterday and after I have provided some extra information and it is all good. I guess this is what happens when insurers are involve with their cars. Whilst when we track our cars we understand it is not insured.

So how many of the 10 will want to do a breakfast/coffee catch up on Sat with the Melb addicts ?

Have we decided on Thurs and Fri's dinner location ? I might as well include that as an option and let the rest of them decide......

Catch up with Melb Addicts would be good.

Can't do Thursday dinner for now. Meeting customer.

Friday dinner is good.

Movida sounds good too. Do you know how's booking like there? Last time I went was something like 9pm and it was still absolutely packed.

Not sure Steve. It definitely gets packed, last time I walked in they managed to seat us at 7.30pm!

Probably not the best location for a quiet dinner after an exciting day though!

Take it as fast as you can. The lead car with the instructor in it goes pretty slow so your not allowed to get to a speed where you can get into trouble.

Enjoy the day, it's a lot of fun.

I'll probably be more .. than OO for turn 1, aiming to be at least o. by the end of the day, not long to go now!

How much time will we be actually spending in the M3s anyway? I thought we were ONLY driving them, until I read the e-mail and saw 328i and 125i I had the 125i as a courtesy car the other week, enough said.

I am pretty sure it is a generic email for all the courses. So should be M3 all day - it is called the M dynamic course after all; otherwise it's false advertising and they will have to bring us back for another day , on them.
