I would think there is a very good chance you could change to PCD. Give it a try. I'm looking forward to doing it!

As I understand it, doing a PDC delivery will require the Center to be equipped with its own 1-series models, since you won't be driving your own vehicle on the track.

I did Performance Center Delivery on my Z3 Coupe and am doing it again on my 135. It is a great time and the staff is extremely fun and friendly. If you have the ability to do it, I highly recommend it. If you do, try to get a hot lap in Donnie Isley's M5.
Hopefully the factory will be doing tours when I take delivery, they were not open in May 2002 when I picked up my Coupe since the Z4 was coming out (we couldn't take a camera out on the course which was a real bummer) and with the X6, it may be closed again (I did do a factory tour a few years ago and it is nice, but will greatly depend on who is guiding the tour). There are a lot of write-ups over on Bimmerfest (I hope it is cool to point to another board) and a few of the Performance Center staffers posts over there. |

I have two clients picking up their 135i's at PC. They're already had their cars assigned to PCD and we're awaiting delivery dates. Of course, their cars are still in production.

Just got off the phone with Mrs. Swain at the PDC and she informed me that she cannot schedule the delivery till the car is on the ship. This is because it's a new model and they don't know when/if there will be production delays or stops. She also stated it cannot take place before the on sale date of March 22 I will get an e-mail when the cars on the ship.

UR2SLOW1, that's why I got her voice mail, you had her tied up. So I emailed her instead. Looks like she answered the main question to you--No PCD on 1-Series until March 22nd.

I just returned from Europe where the US dollar is the new peso and gas is 8 bucks a gallon. Obviously, I've started rethinking ED -- PDC looks like a great alternative!

Hmm no pdc before 22nd confirmed NY pdc dam.
I don't want to wait for it till the 28th and pdc on 22nd would be hard because I get back from Italy on 21st....I think I may retract and stick to my regular Nj delivery

I would love to do PDC, but I don't want to drive from South Carolina to Chicago in March. We can get some ugly weather in IL/IN at that time.

You thinking 18 or 19? I think 19 would eliminate the need for a drop Then use stockers for winter! Bye bye pay checks! Haha -dave

OT Warning!
I'll probably stay with 18" since I may use them for autocross. More race tire sizes available and they are a little lighter.

I hear people wonder why everyone doesn't do ED, but for me almost everything about it is a turnoff. If/when I go to Europe, I don't really want to be worrying about my brand new car. |

When I can afford an m6 or m5 I will do ed other wise I am counting every penny. Last time I went to Germany ,meinz I rented a 1 and loved it but came back to a 1200 gas bill! Should have gotten the peugot!
So worth it. Mike I think 18 will be winter 17 for track and 19 for daily
