Just spoke to the dealer to inquire if the price had been lowered. They are still at $40K markup. I was told they turned down a $20K over offer..

Stock is rarely accurate on cars.com, especially for these vehicles.
I personally know of several SOLD markups: 1. AW 1M loaded for $10K over MSRP 2. AW 1M loaded for $5K over MSRP 3. VO 1M loaded for $5K over MSRP 4. BSM 1M loaded for $3K over MSRP When I purchased my car, a buyer from Dubai called the dealership, offering a $20K premium. The did not sell it to that individual due to BMWNA sale restrictions of US stock to overseas clients; (translation from: "We will sell it to you instead since you are our loyal customer," - Right, and I am a Chinese fighter pilot, also). don't believe the hype guys, there are very good cars in that 90k price range and nobody is fool enough to buy it when its in that category, and if you BELIEVE that they actually sold it at that mark up price then they just accomplish their mission in advertisement department

wow. what idiot is going to buy that car for 90k? I'm pretty sure the other dealers are laughing at these guys, too. I'd rather buy a Lotus Evora S. You can probably buy a 911 for that price.
They should just get rid of dealers, period. They know nothing, they always order cars fully loaded so you have to pay more. (yes, I know you can order, but you have to wait like 3 months) There should be nothing but service centers. Just buy from the manufacturer directly. Easy. Maybe Jay Leno bought it. You really think a 40K markup would make him bat an eye? It's all relative.

as verified by???
I would be hard pressed to believe a dealer rep telling me what the price of the car sold for when it has that much markup. doesn't really matter.. could have been a drug dealer, businessman, or a guy trying to impress a gal. Heck.. maybe the car is being shipped to some foreign country like the United Arab Emirates or Dubai as we speak. |
