Gotta keep the exhaust banks separate for the widebands, hence pre-merge placement.

In the past people were using spacers on the FFTEC kits to keep them from burning up too quickly, but you are right reports of the problem seemed to kinda disappear over night.

Inconel has awesome thermal retention properties so I bet that plays a role in keeping things from getting too toasty.

Right, I knew that the O2 sensor placement was to keep the ECU happy, and I remember the heatsinks from earlier single turbo conversions. Are the other single turbo conversions designed with easy to change O2 sensor locations? Is burning through O2 sensors just an accepted sacrifice for the added benefit of the single turbo?

Does the N55 only have one o2 sensor?
Where is it placed in this manifold in that application?
