18" Vmr V710
This question or thread has probably been up already..
But i was just wondering if a 255/35/R18 ET45 (REAR) and 235/40R18 ET35 (FRONT) would work without rubbing on a 1er with completely stock (sport) suspension? Link to the wheels. http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=2273 |

No, fronts are way to aggressive in offset... It can work, its just a matter of how badly you would want them (extensive fender rolling). IMO not worth it.

Ditto, even going down to a 225 front tire will still be very tight. The rears are better, but the fronts are what kill you. Your best bet in an 18" wheel that looks similar will be the group buy CSL replicas by AluFelgen. See it under the Commercial Sales forum -
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224109 Another option would be the 19" Forgestar F14s which are now available in 1-friendly offsets. See those also in the Commercial Sales forum (**********s) or in the Photos forum - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254650

first of all there is no way your fitting a 235 with a 35 offset in the front without rubbing. unless you roll and push the fender out alot but still you may rub.
BUT It will fit with a 225 but if you compress your suspension hard, or are slammed tucking tire like mine, and hit a bump with your steering turned your fender will go rub rub. its not that bad though especially on stock suspension very doable for 255 in the rear it will work, but you HAVE to roll your fenders or have them shaved like mine. other options is you can put stock sized tires on the wheels.. twenzel has his csl set up like this.. you will have 0 rubbing. but it will look stupid if your on stock suspension because the tire will be streched and you need to be low to pull that off here is my front wheel 18 inch with 40 offset on 225 40's as you can see there is still a little bit of room at the top to make it poke more Last edited by fmxomar; 04-29-2009 at 06:47 PM.. |
