Taking care of your 1
hey guys, i'm looking to buy some products to clean my 1er with. nothing over the top, just a liquid based soap solution, and maybe some special towels. i was wondering if maybe you guys could help me and post what is the best / what you've used to clean your vehicle, and your experiences with the cleaning products. thanks a lot for the help and input.

You might want to use the search on the site first. Go to a few online sites, decide if you want to buy online or at a local store. There are sooooo many products and everyne has a diff opinion. The search and join some of the other threads might be a wise place to start. If you have specific questions to a certain product like prod a is better than prod b? you might get more info that way.
Also Google has lots of places to find info on good washing techniques too... mostly use common sense like wash with 3 cloths, tires/rims , sides, and then top don't use the same water for all stuff like that. I could write like 3 pages just on what I have found but it's all here, on the net already. EspressoBoy |

Things I use and like:
Sheepskin Wash Mitt Waffle-weave Drying Towel P21S Total Auto Wash (Good for removing gunk before washing) Shampoo is your choice, there are many good ones. P21S makes good products in general. P21S Wheel Cleaner There are also a variety of wheel waxes that help to remove brake dust easier during washing, but I personally don't use one. As well, there are many tools for cleaning wheels, I use a 3 Finger Mitt from Griot's Garage and have found them to work with ease. They are also cheap. This is just what I use. Hope this helps somewhat. -Ben |
